Yashasvi Jaiswal has continued his outstanding season while Vaibhav Sooryavanshi’s emergence has transformed Rajasthan’s batting into one of the most dangerous lineups in IPL 2026. Jofra Archer has also returned to his best rhythm, giving RR a genuine wicket-taking weapon with the new ball.
The equation is simple now. Win and they are through.
That clarity is something no other team in this race currently has.
PBKS: From Dominating the League to Fighting for Survival
Punjab Kings have experienced the sharpest collapse of any team this season.
At one stage, they looked like the best side in IPL 2026. Six wins in a row. Record chases. Fearless batting. A top order that looked impossible to stop.
Now they arrive at the final stretch carrying a six-match losing streak.

But the comeback arrived too late.
Even after winning five of their last six games, KKR still need multiple results to go perfectly in their favor. Their slow start created too much damage to recover from completely.

Delhi Capitals have followed the exact same script once again.
A promising start. A middle-season collapse. A late realization that qualification scenarios now depend on miracles.
KL Rahul has produced one of the best individual batting seasons of IPL 2026, but the team around him has repeatedly failed in crucial moments. DC’s inability to sustain momentum across a full campaign has now become a recurring pattern rather than a one-off collapse.
Their playoff chances remain mathematically alive. Realistically, they are hanging by a thread.
CSK Officially Eliminated
Chennai Super Kings’ loss to Gujarat Titans officially ended their playoff hopes.
For a brief period, it looked like CSK were building another trademark late-season comeback. Four wins in five games had pulled them back into contention before losses at the worst possible time completely changed the equation.
Injuries throughout the season, instability in the batting order and inconsistency under pressure ultimately proved too much to overcome.
For the first time in weeks, the playoff race no longer includes yellow.
